Loved their food. I'm stuffed.
It was delicious food and great service! I really enjoyed the piggy nachos. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!
Cute place, nice people, good food.

Fried Green Tomato BLT!! Delicious!
Chicken stew was delicious today 👌👌👌
Great food great service
I've been coming to the Hickory Pit for years during the Battle of Shiloh anniversary weekend events. The food is always delicious and the staff are some of the friendliest people you'll meet. I'd definitely recommend their food, especially the chicky nachos!
Food and service are always great!
GREAT Ownership, staff and of course THE FOOD! Daily plate lunches for my work crew and they DO cater!!! Fast, efficient and why Tennessee is famous for barbeque!!!
All these lovely women , work so hard to make this a wonderful dining experience.. Food is so great.. also their menu is very versatile.. Don't forget the desert 😘
Was ok nothing special...chickend was bland and had a bone in my sandwich...salad was really good or else would of been 2 star

Awesome staff! Great BBQ! Love there piggy fries!
Awesome as usual! Good pulled pork, and chicken too. Check out this half eaten HUGE platter of onion rings. Couldn't eat anymore. So hard to waste them but so stuffed!! Thanks HP for awesome kindness and excellent iced tea!
Pulled pork is freakin amazing.. You gotta try it!
Really good bar-b-que. Very friendly folks and excellent service. I had the jumbo sandwich with slaw, beans, and potato salad. Good stuff!!!
Good food, but I wish they would bring back the thick bologna.
I stopped at the Hickory Pit last night when passing through town. I like to hit the local places instead of the chains.....Glad I did.The service was great and the BBQ sandwich and chess pie were delicious.
I love their fried pickles!!!
Very expensive just way too expensive small BBQ sandwich order of onion rings in a soda cost $17.98 I won't be back
Got the sample platter and had enough for two people for two meals. Loved everything!
The best
Fair didn't have ribs
Great food, EXCELLENT service! Family friendly atmosphere and music while you dine!
We always enjoy going to The Hickory Pit. Their piggy fries were great. Before you leave, try a piece of pie, any pie, they're all good.
Good little local BBQ. Super friendly service.
Meat and how much do you want to pay, with a sign that reads $5.00. Mac and cheese was bland, Fried okra was good, fried green tomatoes were hard. The best part was the hot bbq sauce!
Exceptional staff. Delicious BBQ options.
Price / Food ratio is low. Great ribs just really pricey.
Great food! Great sevice and played good music!
I love the piggy fries and when they have the grill ham and cheese whew it's so good
Awesome food variety of choices
I love finding small local spots like this. Service was very quick and friendly, bbq is excellent, prices decent. How can you go wrong at a place that has corn nuggets and fried green tomatoes? Did I mention the desserts? Holy cow, the Dreamsicle cake!!
Had a great meal. Price a little higher than I'd have expected.
My husband and I were headed into Bruton Branch Campground and decided to grab a late lunch. We rode through Savannah and made a quick U-turn to pull into this amazing place. We have eaten bbq across the south and were excited to try it. I was so impressed by the service, the food and the portions! I opted for the Piggy Fries and they were AMAZING (and enough for 2 meals). My husband had the mini pulled pork sandwich and an order of onion rings (again, enough for 2 meals). If we ever find ourselves I Savannah again, there wil
Food is good... really good
Very good bbq and smoked chicken. I do miss the fried green beans, but whatcha gonna do 🤷♀️ good place to grab a piece of cake or pie too.
Great service and really good food.
The best service, the friendliest smiles. Great food, huge portions, real sweet tea all at a great price
Excellent barbecue. Had chicken this visit. Cooked perfect with great flavor. Not overcooked like many places. Potato salad had personality as did their baked beans. So much better than most barbecue joints. Need I mention the Key Lime pie? Yes I do!
For a small town meat and three, this place is awesome. Good options, desert's and prices.
Great food n great service.
I was just in Savannah for one night and found the Hickory Pit. The service was outstanding, and the food was great! I could use a bit more smoky flavor in the meat, but it was tender and moist. I love onion rings, and when I'm told they are hand cut and battered in the store, I always get them. They couldn't substitute them for the fries, and I thought we'd worked out a deal, so I ordered them. They were absolutely the best onion rings I have ever had. When the bill came though, I was charged for a full appetizer price. But the great staff worked it out to charge me half price. I couldn't finish the plate and wishwas i could have sent half of them to another table gratis. I didn't think of it in time! Then others could have enjoyed these excellent onion rings! Honestly, if I was in the area, I would go a bit out of my way to have these again.
The barbecue was bland tasting no smokey flavor. Carrot cake was very good.
We travel a lot during the summer months. This time it was no difference. Well this time it was different. We stopped in after a day on the lake: 30 August 12:38-1:00P. The cost. Just under 20.00. There was plenty of food. Regardless of the pulled pork basket not having flavor. Well I’m always on guard when eating in a public place. This time. Our order: 2 pulled jumbo pork baskets to go. We get back to our camping site. Green Acres. And the sandwiches here so huge. We had to use a fork to pick them up. Upon doing so. I spotted something black in the side of my sandwich. Using the fork that was supplied with the meal. I removed to top. And started digging into the pulled pork( unchopped) I find this black plastic or what ever it is. Not sure if it’s plastic or what the %+*^ it is. You tell me? I have the item and photo. Cause either the staff can tell me. Or a rep with the health department can
